Background: Resveratrol (RSV) is a natural polyphenolic compound, found in fx grapes, which possesses anti-inflammatory properties. RSV inhibits osteoclast activity and promotes osteoblastogenesis in vitro. Furthermore, RSV protects against bone loss after ovarectomy and immobilization in animal models.
